Impacting a Generation for Christ
The Extreme Weekend
What is the Encounter Weekend?
The Encounter Weekend is intense, specialized, discipleship retreat for teens. The weekend is composed of wild team events, great music, special teachings sessions, and incredible ministry times.
When and Where is the event?
This year’s event is being held on Friday, Feb. 27 to Sunday March 1 at the former Fountaingate Children's Home in Alamogordo, NM. Fountaingate is located at 74 Santa Florence Road, Alamogordo, NM 88310. Take Dog Canyon Rd (located about 12 miles south of Alamogordo) then a right on Southland Rd (the first right after being on Dog Canyon). Follow Southland to School Rd (take Right). Follow School Rd (it becomes Santa Florence after 2 curves). Fountaingate will be on right.
What is the Registration?
The cost of the event is $20. Siblings are an additional $5 each. This covers the cost of lodging, meals, and materials. Student must sign the registration stating that they will obey all rules and sponsors during the event. Parents also must read sign the registration form for student to have permission to attend.

Who can or is going on this trip?
All teens are welcome to register and attend. Christian Impact Ministries will supply ample adult sponsors for this event and will be well supervised. Parents are welcome to attend, however space is very limited and rooms for parents are not available. Hotels are available in the city of Alamogordo for adults who wish to attend day sessions and stay off campus. Parents who attend during the day need to pay an additional $5 (per parent) to cover meal expenses.
What to Bring?
Clothing for 3 days, 2 nights (We are having outdoor activities, so you will need at least one set of clothing for outdoors. Be prepared in case it is cold, wet or muddy. You will probably want a change of clothes for afterwards. Also, be sure to include one good pair of athletic shoes) Also, weather can be unpredictable this time of year, so be prepared in case you need a coat (warm clothing) or warm weather stuff like shorts.
Sleeping Bag, pillow, blanket etc...
Towels & toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, combs, soap, deodorant, etc...)
Bible and a Pen
Flashlights (lanterns), bug spray
extra personal snacks if desired
A great attitude!
Please think and bring what you would normally bring on a camping trip. Try to pack in one bag (this does not include sleeping bags & pillows).
Please remember, no CD players, mp3 players, or other electronic devices are allowed during an Extreme Weekend! Cell phones are allowed only for emergencies and will not be allowed in retreat events or sessions.
